Aisha Bala-Muhammad's convoy trapped in mud water

The convoy of the Bauchi State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Muhammad, has reportedly being trapped in flood water on her way to commission a healthcare centre in the Jamdan area of the state on Saturday 9th September, 2023.

A video and pictures posted on social media platform showed that her convoy was trapped on the flooded and poorly maintained road, resulting in her SUV being rendered immobilized.

A picture showed the first lady on foot in the mud water. She had no option than to step into the dirty water so she could reach her destination for the commissioning of the health center.

This highlights the pressing issue of dilapidated infrastructures and the need for improve road conditions within and around the state.

Futhermore, the pictures have stirred reactions from netizens, who described the situation as pathetic.

They noted that despite the fact that the First Lady and her family have been around, they left the road unfixed, depicting a development that characterized the plight of Nigerian rural dwellers.
