A lady, simply identified as Grace has revealed how her husband tried to cover her up before he died while in the hospital.

This happened after a misunderstanding developed between them which ended up with her stabbing her husband to death in self defense.
The couple hail from Kiambu County. Grace narrated how she got into a relationship with her late husband just immediately after completing her primary school.
Despite her good performing and receiving an admission letter from a provincial school she ended up getting married due to lack of funds to continue her schooling.
After delivering her firstborn, her husband behaviors changed significantly and this made her walk out of her once blissful home and rented an apartment a few meters from her husband’s house.
Her husband would apologize and get together but she continued living in her rented apartment.
A year later, she got pregnant with him. Her husband asked her to out of her rented apartment and move onto her matrimonial home. But she was not ready to live with him as she wasn't still sure of his character.
On one faithful day, he went into her apartment while drunk and asked her to move back into their matrimonial home or one of them would die while the other would end up in prison.
A fight started, her husband grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her on her back. She said she managed to overpower him and took the knife from him and stabbed him in the leg.
He lost a lot of blood and she quickly rushed him to the nearest hospital.
When he was asked what happened, he tried to cover up his wife by telling the doctors that they were attacked by thugs.
She however could not live with the lies and had to confess to the doctors that she was the one who stabbed him.
She was arrested and served seven years. She gave birth to her second child while in prison.
